What inspires a designer?
Today, our Head of Design, Miles Rice is taking over the new Rittergut & Runnymede series on how a design comes to life as inspiration is something so personal.
Miles shared:
“I often get asked about where I got inspired to a particular design. To be honest, I have to pass. Inspiration is all around us. I find it in art, especially sculpture, in nature, and in architecture.
There is no set moment when I design a chair. It is a process that takes a lot of time. The design needs to fully reveal itself. It matures in my mind’s eye before I ever set pencil to paper.”
