Is it a spinning top or a vessel turned out of clay? Well, its a bit of both. One of the first prototypes was made from plywood and clay. The Spun Chair by Heatherwick Studio is an expression of playful creativity, of creatives playing with form and movement and eventually creating an iconic design. Well designed furniture makes you interact with it. It is not meant to blends into the background. The Spun Chair doesn’t let you sit still. It is an unexpected, fun experience sitting in it and letting yourself be spun around. It was so great, to see and experience this unique design at The Design Museum in London.
