Schönberg High Centre Table

With the Mond Zwölf reading chair, Rittergut & Runnymede brings a modern twist to a timeless concept, created 69 years after the release of the classic Danish Reading Chair. This design is the result of a two-year sculptural process, culminating in 12 versions to perfect its one-armed, winged design.

Mond Zwölf isn’t just a chair; it’s a statement. The single armrest, symbolizing the crescent moon, invites you to immerse yourself in your favourite book, surrounded by the chair’s sleek lines and sculptural form. This piece demands presence—both in the room and from those who experience it.

Named as a tribute to the craftspeople of Schönberg, the estate that inspired its creation, Mond Zwölf connects the past with the present, offering a design that surprises and inspires, much like a great book. As Jeremy Broun noted, “𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙠. 𝘼 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘.”
