Schönberg High Centre Table

Image taken by Kerstin Rice at Olaf Stoy’s studio in Berghain, Saxony

Kerstin Rice, the founder of 1720, recently shared images from her visit to Olaf Stoy’s studio and gallery in the eastern Ore Mountains. The chairs, designed by Miles Rice of Rittergut & Runnymede, were made not far from Olaf’s studio, near Rabenau.
Chairmaking in and around Rabenau is based on over 400 years of tradition in this specialist craft.
It is always such a pleasure to find these rare crafts still alive today.
